It’s been exactly two years since the devastating earthquake in Haiti, and communities there are still experiencing a time of rebuilding. But the good news is that despite the fact that half a million people are still living in tents and in extreme poverty, great progress is happening this year.
To mark the occasion, I'm helping raise money along with The Adventure Project. They are partnering with people on the ground in Haiti to create jobs, maintain dignity, and improve the health of many in Haiti – all through a charcoal-efficient stove.
Sponsor a stove for $20 and change some lives:
1. Stoves are a miracle for the half million people still living in tents in Haiti
2. They use half as much charcoal as open fires and drastically reduce toxic smoke
3. Stoves also cook food faster and free up disposable income for the family
4. Because the stoves are produced in Haiti, jobs are created. Cool!!
My goal is to get 50 stoves sponsored for the 2nd anniversary. Each stove is $20 and your donation of any amount is appreciated.
Join me in remembering Haiti by sponsoring a charcoal-efficient stove for a family. You can learn more about the amazing impact that one small stove can have on a family: http://theadventureproject.org. And please pass it on – inspire others to remember Haiti.
